The 39 Clues is a series of novels, young adult in genre, which captivated my interest about almost one and a half week ago. Catapulted into their world, I was taken on a journey that was literally all around the world, encompassing all five continents. From France, Austria, Russia, South Africa, Korea, China, Brazil, Jamaica and England, the two siblings travelled around the world, taking the reader on a whirl wind tour. The books are full to the brim about each country's history and the famous people that lived there, some of which are quite legendary like Mozart, George Washington, Emperor Puyi and Shakespeare to name a few.
The series, comprising of about 11 books, are written by numerous authors, each giving their own spark to their instalment in the series.
The books had me hooked to such an extent that I just had to read all 11 of them, one after the other, and in about one week I am down to my last book. Its books like these that really grip me. Travel, history, mystery and a bit of humour all mixed up together are my forte. I loved the series, and would recommend it to anyone who would want to enjoy a thrilling adventure around the world while sitting in their bedroom.
