I have always heard people say that certain songs remind them of certain moments in their life. I agree, and have experienced nostalgia at the hands of this. But I also have nostalgia at various scents. Certain smells take me to memories of my life. At times, a full fledged movie, complete with sounds is in my mind. I am a perfume enthusiast, collecting perfumes and using them quite generously. Daisy by Marc Jacobs, and Curious by Britney Spears are two perfumes that take me to happy, i-wish-i-could-time-travel moments in my life. The power of a scent is powerful, just like all our other four senses. Each sense of ours - a certain sound, feel, sight, or taste - can do this. It is quite remarkable, and sometimes uncalled for but addictive. I have caught myself sniffing my perfume, day dreaming, quite a few times.
