Besse Cooper, currently living in Monroe, USA is the world's oldest person. She has officially been given the title by Guinness World Records, and is only one of eight people to be recorded to live up to that age. Born in Sullivan, Tennessee in 1896, she has four children, 12 grand-children and many great-grandchildren. In her honour, a bridge was named after her in her city.
